RECOLLECTION is a mechanics light, narrative based TTRPG for 3-5 players.

You are Collectors. Scavengers who hunt Mementos—remnants of the Old World that still hold power. Arm yourself with these objects steeped in memories, and use them to expand reality itself. Navigate genre-defying landscapes while hunting down Shards from the source of creation.

Drive the stakes with cards, where the more you succeed, the closer you get to your inevitable failure. Push your luck and grow the New World—or find yourselves unraveled and forgotten.

Our main inspirations for this game were Blame!, Made in Abyss, The Magnus Archives, and Infinity Train. We really wanted to sell a world with seemingly endless wonders as cruel as they are breathtaking, where each visit reveals only a sliver of what lies beneath the surface.

The card system grew from the high stakes feel of Kaiji’s Restricted Rock Paper Scissors, but realized that couldn’t work and took inspiration from Dread. We replaced bricks with cards where every draw teeters between a win or a bust.
